Sunday Story Time

Tawas Wellness team celebrating community achievements

Sunday Stories

You may know Coach Chase from Bootcamp or see him out there crushing the weekly 5K—but there’s a whole lot more to his Tawas Wellness story!

Chase has been part of TWW from the beginning and has served as our Board Vice President since we became a nonprofit four years ago. His positive energy is contagious, his commitment is unwavering, and he has a way of making a hard workout so much fun. Ask him about the "After Party", LOL!

We’re incredibly lucky to have Chase helping lead this team, both in the gym and behind the scenes.

Here’s Coach Chase’s TWW story—and his WHY.

"After moving back from Mount Pleasant to Tawas, I caught the running bug. I would put a playlist on and run for miles by myself. It was and is still my therapy. Then Amy Kennedy told me that there was a couple that was planning to meet at the corner on Newman Street to run a 5k on Thursday. I thought it would be nice to meet others who share my passion. That Thursday, I ran with the group and took a picture solidifying our workout. My thought was “same time and same place next week.” And from then on my plan was to meet on Thursdays and log some miles.

Meeting people that have similar interests and can hold you accountable is so important. Without the group, I still would’ve ran miles, but would not have created so many fun memories with a lot of awesome people. I often think about the numerous opportunities that have come from being introduced to all the warriors. Forever grateful for everyone that I’ve met along the journey. Let’s keep growing stronger together."

Love it! Let's keep these Sunday Stories rolling too! If you feel inspired, please respond to this email with your TW story, naming just one Warrior who has left their mark on you during your wellness journey.

Together, we are building more than healthy bodies; we are building a legacy of community wellness in Iosco County. There's so much more to come!

Have a great week, Warriors!
