Wellness is for All Ages!
TWKIDS is a growing program that seeks to encompass all local youth under 18. Tawas Wellness strives to offer various seasonal sessions such as Winter Warriors, TWKids Club, Summer Boost programs, Field Day, and Teen THRIVE Camp. These programs support the primary dimensions of wellness that Tawas Wellness is founded upon; Physical, Emotional, Social, and Educational.
This Summer, we are launching our first Kids Only Fit Class, TWKids Fit, on Wednesdays at 5:30pm. We are also working with Clara Bolen to support their Summer Boost program and partnering with Wellvance to offer a Teen THRIVE Program in July.
We plan to continue growing TWKids as long as sufficient funds, facilitators, and volunteers are available. Special thanks to the Iosco County Community Foundation, Quota Club, MyMI, and the Cooper Charitable Fund for thier support and generous contributions to this aspect of TW programming.
Teen THRIVE
Tawas Wellness has specific classes and programs for teens called THRIVE. The THRIVE program has served as a weekly summer 'camp' teaching life skills and investigating goals. It has been an outreach project for Iosco County Alternative Education Schools to incorporate the arts and wellness themes into the classroom. THRIVE is currently serving as a weekly Teen Fit Club, where certified personal trainers teach teens how to stay fit and flexible for life!
*Tawas Wellness is not a registered Childcare facility. All TWKids facilitators and volunteers have previous teaching and/or childcare experience
and have had recent background checks. An event-specific waiver and optional photo release are required before releasing your child into our care.
